Jumbline 2 App Reviews
Brainium Studios Does It Again!
Love this game. Simple but challenging. Have it on my iPad too. You can’t go wrong with Brainium Studios games.
Too bad

Jumbline 2
Love it! Its hard to stop playing. I learn some words I never knew existed.
Right off, let me tell you that the only reason I knocked off a star was because the dictionary this game operates with is missing a lot of ordinary words. Imagine my surprise when it didnt recognize the word spate. If an update provides a better, more extensive dictionary, Ill revise this review and give it the five stars it deserves. But aside from that issue, this is one helluva word game. My idea of addictive is to want to play just one more level, just one more level even when I should be off doing something else, and boy, does Jumbline 2 deliver on that score. Thus far, Ive only played the Classic Mode, so this review is based on that. Some people may find the play very easy because theyre good at quickly visualizing all the words that can be made out of a group of 5, 6, or 7 letters; however, I am not one of them. In fact, I was quite surprised at how head-scratchingly puzzling a group of letters can be when youre trying to extract a whole stack of 3- and 4-letter words from it (making a word using all of them is definitely easier), and thats why I play the untimed mode. However, theres a timer for the rest of you fast thinkers :) Although you can advance to the next level once youve unscrambled the longest word, part of the fun is trying to get every last word available (see pictures 2 and 3 above) for extra points, especially when theres a long column of them. Got em all, woo-hoo! If you like words, this will be a game youll play often, and part of its charm is that you can play it one or two levels at a time... if you can tear yourself away! Stormvoël
Love Jumbline 2
This game is awesome! So fun! love it!
Like some of the other players, I have been surprised by the number of words that are not recognized by the game. I wish they would expand the dictionary.
Jumbline needs a dictionary
Disgraceful the number of words the game doesnt recognize: yar, hie, wen, or ken - just to name a few.
Theres an impressive amount of common words this game doesnt recognize. How hard would it be to add those to the game dictionary? Also, why no bonus points for finishing a round quickly? Pretty standard for a game like this and makes it much more exciting. Nice graphics, runs smoothly but not worth paying for. I want my money back.
My kids love the word game, and its great for iproving typing skills - both speed and accuracy. Only drawback for the game is that it doesnt allow you to enter names for the high scores (something the competitive kiddos would have loved!).
There are so many words that, although standard english, do not rate as words in this program that it becomes very frustrating. Adding to the frustration is that the game allows words that I dont believe ARE standard english.
I love the how it is both open ended, yet there is a complete list of all words. Relaxing, challenging and great looking and easy to use interface. I have it on both my iphone and Mac I try others sometimes, but their novelty wears off or there are just too many limits, annoyances or "surprise" to interrupt thr "flow" the game.
The game is attractive and works well. My big comlaint is the dictionary. I play a lot of word games, and Ive found that there are some common words that are not in this dictionary. And then some obscure words that are. Im often frustrated by this. This game would be nearly perfect with a better dictionary.
This game was one of the first that I downloaded. I love word games and go through five or six Penny Press paperbook puzzles a month and decided to try some games on the computer. I love the Classic Jumbline and like another reviewer think it would be excellent if it had a standard dictionary. Words that I know are words are not included while some that are not in a standard dictionary (I use Oxford American and American Heritage College dictionaries) are included. Ive started playing various forms of solitaire in the last few months and so I dont play the Jumbline as much (which is probably a good thing in that it can be addictive). Its still a very good and inexpensive game.
I love this game
I love this game. Why? Because it's fun. No timer unless you want to use it. Love the sounds it makes. You can turn those off too if you want. Some of the words are redundant and sometimes you cannot find what they claim to be a word in the dictionary but then again, you do learn new words as you play. Today I typed in D E K E which was the only guess I hadn't tried yet. It fit. I looked it up and sure enough, it's a word. I downloaded this app a very long time ago and I haven't grown tired ofg it yet. It's simple, easy, no quirks or glitches, Just good clean fun!! The only thing I would change is adding another category of 10 letter words and 12 letter words. (or more)
make letters bigger!!!
Would be much better with larger type face. us old folk who like to play word games need larger type.
This Game Makes Me Happy
I have lots of games, but this has been my favorite for years. LOVE the gameplay, the music and that I can play it on all my devices. Using the keyboard on my MAC makes it perfect.
Tarheel
This is a terrible game for IMac. The dictionary is elementary, words that are words are rejected. And these are not esoteric words. I have this game on my IPad and it's fine. If the dictinary could be updated, that would help immensely. Until then, don't buy.
Great and challenging word game
Up until today, I would have rated the app as a 3.5 as the dictionary was imperfect -- there were too many words that are perfectly good words and weren't valid in the game. However, the upgrade that came through last night fixed this, as far as I can tell. It is almost like playing a new game! If you like to play word games and can type quickly, this is the game for you.
Here are just a few missing words
Yes, I'm a nerd. I keep a running list of words that are missing from the various puzzles. It's a fun game, definitely, but I get frustrated when fairly common words are left out. Not a fan of the newest update
I used to really love this game, almost to the point of addiction, but they recently updated it to include such obscure words. It was always challenging, but not impossible. It’s no longer fun for me if I have no chance of completing a level:(

One of the better word scramble games-the one I always go back to
